University of California, Berkeley
2nd Annual Summer Institute in Reading
Developing Tomorrow's Thinkers: Comprehension and Beyond | |
Dear colleagues,
The Summer Institute in Reading at the University of California, Berkeley provides an opportunity for educational leaders to learn, reflect, and rejuvenate in one of the world's most beautiful settings—the San Francisco Bay Area. Your learning will be supported by interacting with the nation's leading researchers. Your reflection will be supported through extended conversations with leading teacher educators and the other participants who will join you in the conference. Your rejuvenation will be supported by the physical and intellectual setting provided—a week in a residential setting that provides restful spots for contemplation, stunning views of one of the world's most beautiful harbors, great food for the body, and even greater food for thought.
If you are an educational leader in a state, district, school, publishing house, or professional organization, we invite you to join us for a week in which we will all focus our professional energies on the very essence of reading instruction: "Developing Tomorrow's Thinkers: Comprehension and Beyond."
The Summer Institute in 2005 proved to be a memorable opportunity for learning, reflection, and rejuvenation for all of us who were a part of it. We are confident that the Summer Institute of 2006 will prove the same for you-and us. Please join us!
Sincerely,
