Join teams from California and out-of-state colleges to develop plans for positive educational change on your campus in the 2008-09 academic year.
This summer’s program again focuses on one of the more serious barriers to progress: the transition from high school to college, especially for low-income and minority students. Teams from colleges will learn about innovative approaches for smoothing the transition and integrating student services, and then develop reform plans to take back to their colleges.
This Institute honors the legacy of Dale Tillery, an author of the California Master Plan for Higher Education and a leader in protecting open access and multiple options for all community college learners. Tillery served on the GSE faculty from 1958 until 1981. This 3-day conference provides a unique setting for a team from your campus to reflect, plan for needed change, receive input from peers, and prepare to implement innovation.
