Dean Pearson Named to National Academy of Education

Dean Pearson

Dean P. David Pearson was elected this year to the National Academy of Education (NAE), a prestigious group of the top educators in the U.S. In the letter naming Dean Pearson to the Academy, Nel Noddings, president of the NAE wrote, “Membership in the Academy is limited to 150 regular members whose accomplishments in the field of education are judged outstanding.” Dean Pearson joins Berkeley professors Andrea diSessa, Judith Warren Little, and Alan Schoenfeld as a member in the NAE. The National Academy of Education (NAE) was founded in 1965 to “promote scholarly inquiry and discussion concerning the ends and means of education, in all its forms, in the United States and abroad.” )
