Dean David Pearson has launched the GSE Community Enhancement Fund with a challenge gift of $2,500 and pledged to match all gifts to the new fund on a dollar-for-dollar basis. Launched in April, the fund has already received an additional $500 from friends of the school.
The Community Enhancement Fund will help ensure that the School of Education has resources to support activities and events that bring members of the School closer together as educators and advocates for education, and strengthen our network of students, faculty and staff.
"I am hoping that all our GSE faculty will support this initiative," said Pearson. “These are difficult economic times for all, and more than ever we need to support the values we share as university colleagues, including recognition of accomplishments both in and beyond our own offices and classrooms."
Contributions may be made online or or by calling the GSE Development Office at (510) 643-9784.
Thanks to Dean Pearson for his generous challenge and to others for supporting the Graduate School of Education community.
