The GSE has formed an advisory board of education
leaders to guide the School in the areas of program development,
communications, advocacy and advancement.
Chaired by Assemblywoman and GSE alumna Carol
Liu, the group met for the first time October 31 at the Bancroft
Hotel. Dean David Pearson offered several areas in which the board
could help shape future priorities of the School. After a wide-ranging
discussion, associate professor Frank Worrell presented an overview
of Cal Prep, the new Oakland charter school.
