First Alumni Barbecue Sizzles During Homecoming

The GSE hosted its first alumni barbecue October 2 in conjunction with UC Berkeley’s Homecoming Weekend. Graduates of Developmental Teacher Education (DTE), Master’s and Credential in Science and Mathematics Education (MACSME), Multicultural Urban Secondary English (MUSE) and Principals Leadership Institute (PLI), as well as former Flanders Fellows, gathered for lunch, music and the chance to catch up with past teachers and classmates. Former Flanders Fellow Kysa Nygren and MUSE graduate Sarah Altschul talked about how their GSE experiences prepared them for their current work in the field of education.
