Hewlett Funds PACE for $1.5 Million
The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation has renewed
funding for PACE (Policy Analysis for California Education) by providing
$1.5 million in operational money to pursue additional grants for research
projects on topics such as school finance, accountability and English-language
learners. The funding will also support the hiring of an executive director
and creation of a research advisory board. This board will provide guidance
and feedback to the co-directors, as well as serve as an opportunity
for younger UC Berkeley, Stanford and UC Davis faculty to get involved
with PACE.
The Hewlett Foundation is supporting PACE’s
research and policy activities in three priority areas: school finance
reform, improved accountability and articulation between high school
and community college.

Foundation website or the PACE
