UC Berkeley Proves Strength in Numbers
at AERA Conference
UC Berkeley was well represented when the
American Education Research Association (AERA) held its annual
conference in San Francisco, April 7–11. A total of 120
education researchers from UC Berkeley — From Dor Abrahamson to
Xiaohui Zheng — were among the more than 24,000 education
officials from colleges and universities; federal, state and local
agencies; think tanks; foundations; and the private sector in
attendance.
Among the GSE’s most prolific presenters were
Dean David Pearson and professors Mark Wilson, Marcia Linn, Heinrich
Mintrop and Cynthia Coburn. Coburn received the prestigious Palmer Johnson
Award at the conference (click
