Letter from the Alumni Association President

Several years ago the Education Alumni Association established a special scholar-ship program. Through the generosity of our members, we have been able to offer two $1,000-$1,500 scholarships each year to outstanding GSE graduate students.

This year on Cal Day, Saturday, April 15, we awarded four EAA scholarships of $1,000 each to Laura Goe, Jeff Duncan-Andrade, Valerie Mitchell, and Mary Schmida. Following the presentations, we introduced three brief faculty talks on current educational issues. There was also plenty of time for refreshments, meeting old friends and faculty members, and renewing the good feelings we had when we attended Cal. Thanks to all those who joined us on Cal Day.
