Beginning this term, we are giving a new look to the publications of the Graduate School of Education. The purpose of this new look is to improve communication with our colleagues, alumni, and community. This newsletter, Term Paper, Educator magazine, and Class Notes will all provide timely information on recent developments in the School, but each will be distinctive.
Educator will continue to publish feature articles by and about faculty on current issues and research in education. All 24 pages of the magazine will be on subjects of interest to both researchers and professional educators.
GSE Term Paper will be a four-page news tabloid, issued three times annually (spring, summer, and fall terms). Its purpose will be to inform the campus community and education alumni of up-to-date news about developments in the School itself. Included in the Term Paper will be Class Notes, a prominent alumni information piece. This newsletter will reach the mailboxes of our 11,000 graduates three times a year. Its aim will be to provide information to and about graduates of the School, and to recognize the achievements of our alumni.
As my tenure as dean draws to a close, I look forward to this new crop of publications, and to participating in the transition as the School selects and welcomes my successor. *
