Introduction
The Graduate School of Education, like other academic departments and
professional schools on the Berkeley campus, is permitted by the
Graduate Division to recommend the admission of only a limited number
of students each year.
•Credentials/Advanced Degrees
The Graduate School of Education offers both credentials for working in California public
schools and advanced degrees in
education. Before applying to our School, please look over our program descriptions. Keep in mind that you
may only apply to one graduate department at UC Berkeley at a time.
•Student Profiles
The Profiles page is where students share their thoughts on why they
chose Berkeley and what their experiences have been while in the
GSE.
•Returning/Continuing Students
If you have ever registered as a graduate student at Berkeley,
read the Returning or Continuing UC Berkeley Graduate Students page. Disregard the main instructions page which is intended for applicants who have never registered as regular graduate students on the Berkeley campus.
•International Applicants
If you have a university degree from an academic institution outside the United States, read the International Applicants page for additional information about your application procedures.
•Graduate Student Recruitment and Retention Program
Graduate students have been enlisted to recruit applicants. They have a web site and can be
reached at gserecruiters@berkeley.edu
or at (510) 642-6335.
Procedural questions regarding admissions
should be directed to the Education Admissions Office at gse_info@berkeley.edu or (510)
642-0841.
