Undergraduate Minor in Education
Completing the Minor
Students who complete the requirements for the Education Minor will receive an official completion letter in the US mail. In addition, within a couple of months after receiving the letter, a notation will appear at the bottom of your transcript that will state "MINOR PROGRAM IN EDUCATION COMPLETED" with the semester and year. To initiate both the letter and the notation, Education Minor students will need to submit the following two items to the Minor Advisor:
COMPLETION FORM: After completing all course and field work requirements for the Minor, students must submit a Verification of Completion form (Word) to the Education Minor Advisor. The Verification form lists the courses and fieldwork you have completed for the Minor with the grades received, and is required in order to list the Minor on your transcript. Students are encouraged to submit a word processed form and are welcome to email it to the Minor Advisor. Students do not need to submit a transcript with the completion form.
The Minor Advisor will process the Verification of Completion form with the Registrar's Office. Please note that it can take up to 2 months for the Minor to be noted on your transcript. In the interim, you will receive an official completion letter, which will be sent to the address listed on the Verification form.
NOTE TO GRADUATING SENIORS: If you are completing your Minor requirements in the same semester in which you are graduating, you are welcome to submit the Verification of Completion form before the end of your last semester. You can leave blank the grade(s) for the course(s) you have not yet completed, as they will be verified by the Minor Advisor.
EXIT SURVEY: Students completing the Education Minor must also complete an Education Minor Exit Survey. This survey gives the Education Minor Committee valuable feedback on various aspects of the Minor, enabling an attractive program to continue to be offered to our students. Candid responses are greatly appreciated. Responses will be compiled each semester for review. Students complete the survey on line, using their CalNet ID, at this link: Education Minor Online Exit Survey. Questions about the survey should be directed to the Minor Advisor.
