African American Male Leaders Network:
A Place to Come, Be, and Become

Event Description

Hosted by the 21CSLA Alameda Regional Academy, the African American Male Leaders Network (AAMLN) will be holding a special in-person event focusing on career trajectory and the disproportionality of black and brown students in special education.

The event will feature a trio of guest superintendent panelists: Brent Daniels, Superintendent of Leadership Public Schools; Donald Evans, who served as the superintendent of Hayward and Berkeley Unified School Districts; and Gary McHenry, who served as superintendent of Stockton, Mt. Diablo and Inglewood school districts. They will discuss their trajectory to the superintendency—including preparation, positions held that led to the superintendency, challenges, and accomplishments along the way.

Register in advance, so that we may prepare a seat and refreshments for you.

Please invite your colleagues, site and systems leaders, who may be interested—seating is limited for this event.

We look forward to being in community with you!
