University of California, Berkeley's School Psychology Program is a Ph.D. program that was established in 1965. The program prepares students for employment in public schools, universities, mental health clinics, and a variety of work settings. It is one of three programs in the state of California accredited* by the American Psychological Association (APA) to offer doctoral training in School Psychology. The other two include a School Psychology program at the University of California, Riverside, and a Combined program in Clinical, Counseling, and School Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
